Have you been noticing that your children are spending far too much time in front of the television?  When you tell you kids to go outside and ride their bikes do they complain and ask to play a video game instead?  In today’s society children often times have a hard time actually playing!  Instead of being creative and inventive, they would prefer to be entertained by an object such as the television or a video game.  If you are like most parents, however, you desire your children to stretch their imaginations.  This can all be done by purchasing a Pretend and Play School Set.

When given the opportunity most children love learning!  They are excited to see what they can discover through their adventures.  By encouraging your children to pretend school, you are giving them the opportunity to create their own world.  They have choices to make that will affect their pretend world.  All of these choices will help to create a special environment for them where they can learn.

A pretend school set is a worth while investment for a child because it is an activity that has the ability to keep you kids entertained for hours.  This can be done by having a child play alone with an imaginative classroom that they are teaching to.  Or it may be done with a group of children and each child can play the part of the teacher or the student. 

Many games that are purchased for children today only keep the kids focused for a matter of minutes.  The child plays with a toy a few times but if they are not being creatively challenged, the toy will loose its uniqueness and the child will move onto the next thing they can find.  This kind of behavior can turn into a huge waste of money!  It is far more economical to choose a toy that can last all day long and never exceed its possibilities.

It is also interesting to consider the fact that while many toy companies make toys that can be used as a pretend school, your child can actually add to their school set very easily.  Again this will help to continue the creativity and encourage the child to explore their environment.  Do this by having your child look around the house to see what they can find to make their Pretend and Play School Set even better.  This can be done with a few common objects found around the house.  A child can add a lamp or an apple to put on their desk if they are playing the role of the teacher.  Or a child may want to use a pencil box at their desk if they are playing the role of a student.  It’s easy as that!
 
So the next time you find yourself surrounded by your children saying they are tired of all their old toys, think about how you can encourage them to be more creative.  Remember that a child is like a sponge that can absorb anything you place in front of them.  By encouraging your children to play school they are given the opportunity to create in their mind and see what something can be, rather than only seeing what something is.
